One-On-One Career Counselling﹕
We provide job search and employment relative training information, assist newcomers to do self-assessment and setup career goal, and revise resumes and cover letters. Please contact our Career & Employment Counselor Jane Cheng at 429-3111 ext 315 to book an appointment.
Job Search Classes﹕
- Day Class: one week from Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 3:30pm
- Night Class: two weeks from Monday to Thursday, 6:30pm to 9:30pm
Topics included:
Knowing Canadian workplace culture and labour market trends, writing effective resumes and cover letters, improving interview skills, answering common job interview questions and mock interviews as well as how to keep a job etc.
Employment Readiness Workshops, Job Search Class Student Reunion & Job Hunting Sharing:
Success job seekers will be invited to sharing job hunting experience with other newcomers. It will be also good opportunity for newcomers to build up their networking and make new friends.
All the above career services are free at ASSIST. Please call 429-3111 for registration or contact Jane for more information. Please provide the copy of your landing paper, PR card or citizenship card for our record when you come for our services.
