Volunteer & Staff Picnic Gathering
To deepen the friendship between volunteers and staff and to allow everybody to enjoy Edmonton’s summer together, the ASSIST Community Services Centre held a lunch picnic gathering for volunteers and staff on July 25, Saturday from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Emily Murphy Park. The event received support from many volunteers and staff, with participants totaling 75. On a day of fine and clear weather, it was really enjoyable to have a lunch picnic together. We were also honored by the presence of the President of the Board of Directors, Mr. Allan Mah, and two other Directors, Ms. Mei Hung and Mr. Wing Choy. After Lunch, there were exciting games and a lucky draw. The spirit of cooperation between volunteers and staff was particularly evident through playing games. Besides, everyone enjoyed the program and the park was filled with our happy laughter. The lunch picnic finally ended amid our joyous laughing. The Centre would again like to thank our volunteers and staff for their support and effort.
