2008 Volunteer Appreciation Party |

The ASSIST Community Services Centre has always relied on the enthusiastic support of volunteers to enable us to accomplish our present day success. To thank our volunteers for their diligent contribution over the past year, the Centre held a Volunteer Appreciation Party on the 28th of February, 2009. We were honored to have the presence of the President of our Board of Directors, Mr. Allan Mah and Mrs. Mah, Vice-President Mr. Allan Kwan, Board of Directors, Ms. Mei Hung, Mr.
John Woo and Mrs. Mary Fung, Executive Director Mr. Perry Twaits, Senior Program Manager Mr. Simon Wang and honored guest Ms. Regina Leung. The Centre presented 7 awards for excellent service and 1 award for long-term service to the following volunteers: Vivien Lam, Yang Cheng, Ella Tsui, Roberta Kwok, Ansun Yan, Aaron Chiu, Trannie Thai and Wanfong Ly-Lin. Besides, there were also delicious snacks, lucky draw and games. The atmosphere was very harmonious that day and the spirit of cooperation among volunteers was particularly evident in their interaction when playing games. The Centre would again like to express our gratitude to volunteers for their support and their contribution to the community! In April the Centre will be holding a competition to create a slogan for “Volunteer Spirit in the Community”. Volunteers are welcome to participate and details about the competition will be announced later.
